This wine with its dark and tiled color develops aromas of ripe fruits, almost jammy. In the mouth, the fruits are well present. The tannins are supple and well blended.
Château Labégorce Zédé belongs to the Perrodo family, which has also owned since 2006, Château Marquis d'Alesme, the 3rd Grand Cru Classé of Margaux.
The 70 hectares of vines of Château Labégorce Zédé are spread over 3 communes: Marsac, Soussans and Margaux. The soils are composed of 70% sandy-gravel and 30% sandy-silt.
The following grape varieties are planted: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The production varies from 120,000 to 140,000 bottles per year.
