The nose reveals notes of black fruits and licorice. On the palate, a beautiful velvety texture with a pleasant vegetal touch.
Château Mauvesin Barton is located in the Moulis appellation in the Médoc region of Bordeaux. The Lilian Barton-Sartorius family, owners of Châteaux Léoville-Barton and Langoa-Barton, second and third growths classified Saint Julien, bought the property in 2011. Little known at the time, significant resources were invested to renovate the 51-hectare vineyard and the cellars and thus improve the quality of the wines.
The vines are only red grape varieties: 46% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
The wines of Château Mauvesin Barton are smooth and velvety.
