Château Cazebonne, Graves Blanc "Argile ocre de Bouché" 2019 - 0,75L
The Bouché parcel is coplanted with Semillon (about 60%), Sauvignon (25%) and Sauvignon Gris (15%). This is certainly the best terroir of Château Cazebonne for the whites which excel on these 50 year old vines.
The wine is aged in barrels and amphorae. A complex and greedy white.
- 91/100 in the RVF of June 2021: "A style that stands out! A spicy nose, free, suggesting soft grass, dew. A tasty mouth, with a hint of sweetness, agile and very greedy, whose cheerful impertinence passes like a breath of freshness."
Château Cazebonne is one of the oldest properties in the commune of Saint-Pierre de Mons. Commune located in the Graves, south of Bordeaux.
The vineyard which extends over 40 hectares is entirely certified in organic farming. Since the 2020 vintage, the vineyard is also certified biodynamic.
Jean-Baptiste Duquesne, a lifelong entrepreneur and wine enthusiast, bought Château Cazebonne in 2016, in collaboration with David Poutays, winemaker at Clos de Mounissens. Together they decided to replant forgotten Bordeaux grape varieties such as jurançon noir, castets, saint-macaire, etc.
