Château Latour-Martillac 2000, Grand Cru Classé de Graves, Pessac-Léognan - 0,75L

The 2000 vintage is a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 5% Ptit Verdot.

The exceptional temperatures of August and the beautiful sunshine of September completed the perfect maturity of all the grape varieties. The wine was then aged for 18 months in barrels, 40% of which were new.

Superb garnet color for this long awaited vintage. The nose exalts aromas of ripe fruits, truffles, spices and liquorice. The palate presents a balanced and elegant structure, with powerful and velvety tannins. The finish is of remarkable length, density and freshness. An exceptional wine with great ageing potential.

Château Latour-Martillac, in Pessac-Léognan, has been owned by the Kressmann family since 1871. The 54 hectare vineyard allows the production of white and red wines on gravel soils.

Today, Tristan and Loïc Kressmann are at the head of the property.
