Domaine de Chassorney, Pommard Premier Cru "les Pézerolles" 2018 - 0,75L
Les Pézerolles is a Premier Cru of Pommard located at an altitude of 300 meters. The whole bunches of pinot noir are macerated for a while before fermentation begins. The wine is then aged for 12 months in barrels. It reveals aromas of red fruits (cherry, raspberry) with a touch of spices. The silky tannins are well integrated.
Frédéric Cossard was originally a Burgundy wine broker. In 1996, he started to work as a winegrower, cultivating a few acres of vines in Saint-Romain, Auxey-Duresses and Savigny-lès-Beaune. This is how the Domaine de Chassorney was born.
This did not prevent Frédéric and his wife Laure from continuing their trading activity via the SARL Frédéric Cossard, which supplies itself with grapes from renowned appellations and crus (Meursault, Puligny and Chassagne-Montrachet, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, Vosne-Romanée, Beaune, etc.).
Today, the Domaine de Chassorney has 10 hectares cultivated with the greatest respect for nature, without chemical fertilizers or weed killers. In the cellars, human intervention is reduced so that the wine can express itself fully.
The result is wines marked by elegance and purity.
