Domaine Alain Gras, Saint-Romain blanc 2020 - 0,75L
The Chardonnay vines are planted on clay-limestone soils.
20 to 30% of the grapes are destemmed before pressing. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out in barrels. The wine is then aged in barrels (20% of which are new) and in vats for 12 months.
This Saint-Romain has a powerful and racy nose with toasted vanilla and roasted hazelnut notes. On the palate, it has a nice roundness, minerality and a remarkable length.
Domaine Alain Gras was founded in 1979. The 12 hectare vineyard is located at the top of a hill with clay-limestone soils. From the beginning, the terroir has been at the heart of the concerns. The vines are spread over several appellations, Saint Romain in majority, then Meursault and Auxey Duresses.
The wines of Domaine Alain Gras are elegant and have a nice freshness.
