Domaine Ponsot, Clos De La Roche Grand Cru, Vieilles Vignes 2007 - 0,75L

The Clos de la Roche (which is not a clos, by the way), is a 16-hectare cru in Morey-Saint-Denis. It is one of the greatest of the appellation.

Deep bouquet of small red fruits completed by notes of flowers. In mouth, the attack is full-bodied. The wine is deep, concentrated, the tannins are velvety.

A wine without artifice unique in its kind.

William Ponsot buys a domain in Morey-Saint-Denis in 1872. The Ponsot estate still belongs to the Ponsot family.

Respect for the environment is a priority for Domaine Ponsot, which does not intervene in the cultivation of the vines. A "natural" culture to express the richness of the Burgundian soil in the wines.

The grapes of the 8 hectares of the domain are harvested traditionally. The wines are aged without new wood and are not filtered. The result is lively, rich, elegant and deep wines.

The estate is today one of the most famous of Morey-Saint-Denis, whose wines are sought after all over the world.
