Domaine De Chassorney, Saint-Romain "Sous Roche" 2018 - 1,5L
The Saint-Romain "Sous Roche" of the Domaine de Chassorney comes from a very steep parcel of limestone soil. The pinot noir grown there produces mineral and tense wines with a characteristic delicacy.
Frédéric Cossard was originally a Burgundy wine broker. In 1996, he started to work as a winegrower, cultivating a few acres of vines in Saint-Romain, Auxey-Duresses and Savigny-lès-Beaune. This is how the Domaine de Chassorney was born.
This did not prevent Frédéric and his wife Laure from continuing their trading activity via the SARL Frédéric Cossard, which supplies itself with grapes from renowned appellations and crus (Meursault, Puligny and Chassagne-Montrachet, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, Morey-Saint-Denis, Vosne-Romanée, Beaune, etc.).
Today, the Domaine de Chassorney has 10 hectares cultivated with the greatest respect for nature, without chemical fertilizers or weed killers. In the cellars, human intervention is reduced so that the wine can express itself fully.
The result is wines marked by elegance and purity.
