Domaine Leroy, Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2001 - 0,75L
It is in the small village of Auxey-Duresses, that in 1868 the Maison Leroy was created and we owe its development to Henry Leroy, who joined the family business in 1919. Concerning the viticulture of this great house, it does not suffer any compromise: the vines are led in biodynamy and the yields are extremely low. If the wines of the trading house are extremely prized, the wines of the domain are the object of a real cult as they embody with the DRC what is done the greatest in Burgundy.
The Leroy estate has a very small space within the Clos de Vougeot. It is a wine very appreciated for its rich bouquet of flavors that will awaken your senses. It is also by its delicate, suave and intense mouth that you will discover this wine. You will find an exceptional range of aromas where red and black fruits, undergrowth and violet fruits are mixed... It is a wine that is easily adopted, but that it is preferable to keep for a while in order to develop its full potential.
