Bowmore 1990 (East Asia Whisky Co.), Finished Mizunara Px Sherry Cask - 0,7L
161 bottles, a single cask of Bowmore's finest malt (distilled in 1990) were produced.
This exceptional whisky spent 29 years aging in a hogshead. For the past 2 years, independent bottler East Asia Whisky Co. has transferred the whisky to Jerez, Spain, in a Mizunara oak cask from Hokkaido, seasoned with Pedro Ximénez.
The Mizunara wood was cured for 3 years before being custom barreled by one of Japan's most reputable cooperages.
The bottle is sold in an FSC® certified walnut wood box, laser engraved with Japanese cloud motifs.
Bowmore is an iconic distillery founded in 1779 by John P. David Simpson in the eponymous town on the east coast of Loch Indaal.
The Islay whisky producer's limited edition bottlings are among the most sought-after on the market, but this special edition from East Asia Whisky Co. is the first of its kind.
