The Glendronach distillery was founded in 1826. About ten years after its creation, it was almost completely destroyed by a fire. After its reconstruction, it was bought by Charles Grant, son of the founder of Glenfiddich.
Today, Glendronach is owned by Brown-Forman (also owner of Jack Daniels, Benriach and Glenglassaugh). Rachel Barrie is the Malt Master of the 3 distilleries: Glendronach, Benriach and Glenglassaugh.
Glendronach whiskies are quite rich and harmonious, perfectly balanced after their aging in sherry casks.
