The Pinot Noir vines are planted on clay-limestone soils and are exposed to the east and southeast.

The grapes are left to macerate for 10 to 15 days in wooden vats. 30 to 50% of the harvest are whole bunches. The wine is then aged for 18 to 20 months in oak barrels (30% of which are new).

This 1er Cru with red fruit aromas is remarkable for its elegance and finesse.

The Bruno Clair estate is located in Marsannay-la-Côte, in the Marsannay appellation, in the Burgundy vineyards. It was created in 1979 by Bruno Clair and was originally composed of a few parcels of Marsannay, Fixin, Savigny-les-Beaune and Morey-Saint-Denis.

Bruno Clair is no stranger to Burgundy as his father, Joseph Clair, is the creator of the famous Domaine Clair-Daü, also in Marsannay. The heirs of Joseph Clair were unable to reach an agreement and the estate was dismembered, but Bruno Clair was entrusted with a part of the vineyards by his family. Thanks to its fine wines, the Bruno Clair estate revives the spirit of the Clair-Daü estate.

The Clair family produces classic Burgundies, often lively and sharp; a few years of cellaring are essential for them. They are immediately recognizable by their purity and their beautiful persistence. The estate has developed the terroirs of Marsannay and Gevrey-Chambertin.
