Domaine Belargus, Anjou, Coteau des Treilles (monopole) 2018 - 0,75L
The "Coteau des Treilles" is a very steep monopole facing south and overlooking the Layon. Jo Pithon, former owner of Domaine Belargus (formerly Domaine Pithon-Paillé), bought the parcel in 1990, it was then completely abandoned.
This parcel brings a very nice minerality to the wine with a huge ageing potential. Aged 3 years, it is a model of tension, balance and energy.
Domaine Belargus, formerly Domaine Pithon-Paillé, was purchased in 2018 by Ivan Massonnat, a businessman with a passion for wine.
This Anjou estate created by Jo Pithon, a mythical Loire winemaker, covers 24 hectares conducted in biodynamics. Jo Pithon continues to contribute his experience as a consultant for Belargus.
The wines of Domaine Belargus (grands crus, lieux-dits or monopoles de Loire) highlight the richness and minerality of the white Chenin grape.
