Tarra di Sognu comes from vines planted above Bonifacio, on clay-limestone soils. The proximity of the sea brings a lot of freshness and minerality to wines.
It is a great white wine, powerful and structured.
Yves Canarelli took over his father's vineyards in 1992 in southern Corsica. He produces AOP Corsica Figari wines. The estate has been certified organic since 2002 and biodynamic since 2006.
Native or ancient grape varieties have made their appearance at the estate such as vermentinu, carcagholu neru, biancu, sciaccarellu, minustellu, genovese, or niellucciu. Some vintages are aged in amphorae. The traditional culture is combined with the desire to innovate to create high quality products.
The wines of Clos Canarelli are powerful, racy, extremely fine and made to be kept.
