Domaine Alain Voge, Saint-Péray "Fleur De Crussol" 2019 - 0,75L
Fleur de Crussol 2019 is a Saint-Péray made from marsanne vines that are 80 years old on average. This cuvée was created in 1999 by Alain Voge. It owes its name to the Crussol massif which supplies the vineyard with limestone elements, essential for the elaboration of great white wines.
On the palate, this wine is dense, with aromas of white fruits and citrus fruits with a mineral touch. A rich and full-bodied texture with a mineral and fresh finish.
Alain Voge took over the family estate located in Cornas in 1958. Upon his arrival, he started a revolution in the vineyard: abandonment of polyculture, replanting of abandoned hillsides, abandonment of bulk sales, etc. The wines of the estate gradually stood out and the quality of the Cornas and Saint-Péray wines continued to increase.
In the early 2000s, the estate converted to organic farming and went further in 2013 by cultivating its vines with biodynamic methods.
The wines of the Alain Voge estate are of high quality and express the terroir of the Right Bank of the Rhone at its best.
Alain Voge is no longer with us but Lionel Fraisse, who arrived at the domain in 2012, continues the practices that have been in place since 1958.
