Maison Stéphan, Côte-Rôtie, Les Binardes 2018 - 0,75L
90% Syrah - 10% Viognier
This Côte-Rôtie from Maison Stéphan is very greedy and at the same time very fresh. An explosion of flavors in the mouth.
A great wine with a great ageing potential!
Jean-Michel Stéphan is a respected winemaker in the Rhône Valley. He founded his 4.5 hectare estate in 1991 in the Côte-Rôtie appellation, which includes the prestigious parcels of Tupin, Semons and Bassenon.
Serine (an original variety of Syrah, pure and which makes finer, fuller and more complex wines), Viognier and Syrah are the 3 grape varieties that make up the vineyard. The vines are very old, their age even goes up to 127 years!
The interventions in the vines and in the cellars remain limited: no chemical weed killers, no addition of sulfur, no fining, no filtration, etc.
Passion and precision are the key words at Maison Stéphan. The wines are recognized all over the world.
