Elodie Balme is a young winemaker based in Rasteau who makes very nice fruity and greedy wines!
In 2006, Elodie's father gave her 6 hectares of vines that were being cultivated using conventional methods. Little by little, Elodie moved away from this culture to be closer to nature and the grapes.
Today, Elodie Balme's estate has 17 hectares in the communes of Rasteau (7ha), Roaix (6.5ha) and Buisson (3.5ha). The main grape varieties grown are: Grenache, Carignan (some vines are over 100 years old), Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Syrah, Merlot and Clairette.
The average age of the vines at Domaine Elodie Balme is around 40 years.
The domain is more and more known and recognized for the quality of its wines.
