Château de Beaucastel 2018, Châteauneuf-du-Pape blanc - 0,75L
7 hectares of Château de Beaucastel's vineyards are dedicated to the production of white wines.
Roussanne is in the majority, representing 80% of the white wine blend, supplemented by 15% white Grenache and 5% Picardan, Clairette and Bourboulenc.
The manual harvest is sorted and then gently pressed in pneumatic presses. Fermentation takes place for 30% in barrels and 70% in vats. The wine is aged for 8 months before being bottled.
A great southern white with notes of white peach, candied ginger and a touch of grapefruit. On the palate, a lot of fullness and power with exotic fruit aromas. A touch of bitterness at the end of the mouth.
Château de Beaucastel, owned by the Perrin family since 1909, is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on a terroir of rolled pebbles.
Château de Beaucastel is a must in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is renowned for its balanced, elegant wines with a great capacity for aging. It is also known for being one of the few in the appellation to use the 13 authorized grape varieties to produce its red wines.
