Château de Saint Cosme was purchased by the Barruol family in 1490 and is located in the Rhone Valley, in the Gigondas appellation. 15 generations have passed on the 22 hectares of vines, which are on average 60 years old.
The wines are characterized by balance and freshness due to the microclimate of the Dentelles de Montmirail.
Since 1972, organic viticulture has been practiced in the vineyards. Still today, no weedkiller is used, neither chemical fertilizers, nor pesticides, nor synthetic products. The soils of Château Saint Cosme are alive.
