This triple vintage 1999, 2000 and 2010 is the third edition of this aged rum from Trois Rivières.
It has been aged for 11 years in French oak barrels which bring roundness and fruity notes, then in American oak barrels which give it its tonic character.
Nice notes of vine peach and guava on the nose, completed by a touch of spices and honey. On the palate, we perfectly identify the signature of Trois Rivières aged rums: rich, mineral and subtle, this Triple Vintage offers us flavors of macerated fruits, zest and citrus. Long finish.
The origins of Trois Rivières go back more than 350 years ago. Owned at that time by Nicolas Fouquet, Minister of Finance of Louis XIV, sugar production was the main activity of Trois Rivières.
Etienne Isaïe Marraud Des Grottes buys the exploitation and initiates the production of rum.
The distillery changed hands several times but never ceased to confirm its worldwide reputation. It obtained the AOC Martinique appellation in 1996. It was then owned by the company B.B.S " Bellonie & Bourdillon ", which already owned the distillery La Mauny, also located in Martinique.
In 2004, rum production was transferred to the La Mauny site, where the recognized and unique know-how of Trois Rivières is preserved.
