Yrma, Calfuig rouge 2018 - 0,75L
Mourvèdre - merlot - cabernet sauvignon
The vines are planted in clay-limestone soils at 570m altitude in the Alicante region. The fermentation is carried out in barrels. The wine takes on subtle empyreumatic notes, without masking the aromatic properties of the varieties and slowly matures.
The adventure of Yrma began in 1987, when the oenologists Gabriel Rivero and his wife Adoración Martínez, left Spain for Bordeaux and more precisely for the Medoc region. After a few years of learning about the Bordeaux region, they moved to Lebanon, a region of challenges for wine.
Gabriel then continued his career as an oenologist in the Ribera Del Duero, in Spain. Adoración's eldest son of Adrian and Gabriel is interested in oenology. He trained and worked alongside his father in the Ribera Del Duero. His career path also leads him to work in the wines of Bordeaux specifically in Lalande-Pomerol, following then the steps of his parents.
In 2016, the Rivero-Martinez family decided to leave their mark in the world of wine by sharing their vocation and investing in the Paraje Clafuig estate, producing their own wine. This unique land, rich both in its geographical location and its soils, offers the family the optimal conditions for the realization of their dream.
